Nestled in the Heart of the Midwest, Purdue University thrives itself on their history, traditions and achievements since their founding in 1869. The lifestyle of a boilermaker is like no other University with over 150 years of giant leaps into the future through continuous innovation and technological improvement. To be a Boilermaker is not just about creating four years of robust traditions and cheerful celebrations, but forging a foundation for future Boilermakers.
A typical Saturday for a Boilermaker begins bright and early at the Neon Cactus for Purdue’s famous Breakfast Club. Whether it’s Football or Basketball, Purdue students arrive with pride! Mackey Arena, where Purdue Basketball games take place, is actually known for being one of the toughest and loudest venues in the country-toughest being because Purdue fan chants and cheers are like no other. When Football season is in it’s prime, students march together in their best costumes and flood into Ross Ade Stadium chanting the “Hail Purdue” fight song to the beat of the world’s largest drum- go big or go home! Especially given its location, Rise on Chauncey has had the opportunity to partake in these rich traditions by standing with the Ross Ade Brigade to cheer the Boilermakers to victory. #riseabovetherest
After a successful win, Rise on Chauncey residents have the luxury of being a small step away from Purdue staples like Triple XXX, Harry’s Chocolate Shop, and Brother’s Bar & Grill. Students head to Brother’s on Wednesday evenings to take advantage of their boneless wing deal. Getting involved in the community is important here at Rise, so we partnered up with Brother’s to give free wings and Rise steins to the first 100 Boilermakers in line. It was so exciting to see the students lining up to connect with each other in one of Purdue’s hottest nightlife locations! Nothing is better than being steps away from your bed after a night of celebrations! We’re excited to watch Rise on Chauncey “Rise up” and flourish in the heart of Downtown West Lafayette.
